Lexi is blessed with many good friends. One of her friends, Maggie Lindemann has a horse and frequently competes in shows. They have a lake house on Lake Whitney, about 1 1/2 hours south of Dallas, where the horse is boarded. The last two summers, Maggie's mom, Dennise, has held a horseback riding camp. She takes her two kids and two other children. Lexi has gone both years and LOVES it.
Dennise says that Lexi rides very well. It is probably just that she likes to ride so much. But the camp isn't just about riding the horses. They have to take care of them too. They have to brush them down, bathe them, brush them, and clean out their stalls. And what is amazing to me is that while I cannot get her to clean out her room, she has volunteered to go and muck out the horse stalls during the hot sticky weather for several weeks next summer. It is not just about the work. The kids also have a great time just hanging at the lake.

what a perfect time for our lexi. it is no shocker that she rides great! but i can smell the horses and the barns from here. ewww
